For seven years, Soroptimist International of Hood River has hosted a community “baby shower” to collect new items for local new moms whose circumstances make it impossible to prepare for a baby.
Gifts can be dropped off from May 25th through June 1st at Columbia River Bank, CenterPoint Bank and The Next Door in both Hood River and The Dalles, Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital & Bambinos in Hood River.
The following new, unwrapped, gender-neutral gifts will be most useful: Disposable diapers, baby oil, shampoo, wash, wipes, thermometers, teething supplies, pacifiers, glass bottles, diaper rash ointment, baby toys, board books, receiving blankets, quilts, diaper bags, socks, booties, hats, pajamas, onesies, etc.
