New Parent Services Advisory Board Member
I grew up in Florida and moved out to Oregon in 1982 after graduating from the Occupational Therapy program at Medical College of Georgia.
Hood River became my home in 1987. The natural beauty and outdoor recreation of the area is what drew us to the area, and continues to enrich our lives. I live with my husband, daughter, and a variety of feathered and furry critters.
Serving as a volunteer leader for New Parent Services gives me a way to help those in need. Working to help children and families in our community is very rewarding--especially in Hood River where there are so many citizens committed to helping others.
A favorite quote:
"I have learned that success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome while trying to succeed."
