Why Give to The Next Door
You may know The Next Door, Inc (NDI) from participating in one of our parenting classes or playgroups. A friend or relative may have been helped by our services to children and families. Maybe you have heard about how much fun people have at the Big Brothers Big Sisters bowling event. Or perhaps you’ve been inspired by a news story about one of our clients.
Maybe your motivation is simply your love for children and families. Whatever your connection, we truly appreciate your interest in “giving back.” Your donation makes it possible for NDI to continue to assist other people like you or those you know.
The Next Door, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit established in 1971 to help children and families in the Columbia Gorge. We rely on state funding for a number of our programs. Other programs are funded through competitive grants from state and national organizations. But for some of our work, it is only with the help of donors like you that we can be flexible and creative in meeting the needs of our communities.
We believe the Next Door, Inc. is the one social service non-profit in the Columbia Gorge able to bring together people, government funding, proven programs and donors to meet the essential needs of children and their families. We are ready and able to do what is needed for those we serve. But none of us could do this alone.
With your support we can continue to be a trusted and innovative resource for Columbia Gorge families.
