Bowl for Kids' SakeSaturday, March 13, 2010, all day, Orchard Lanes in Hood River, Bowl for Kids’ Sake, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Columbia Gorge’s biggest fundraising event. Businesses sponsor the event, team captains and team members raise pledges to support Big Brothers Big Sisters, everybody bowls for prizes and has fun. More Information.

Saturday, April 3, 2010, Laugh ‘Til It Helps, Dave Andersona comedy fundraiser for The Next Door. Columbia Center for the Arts, two shows at 6 pm and 8 pm. This year's star is nationally touring comedian Dave Anderson. Dave has performed at the country’s premier comedy clubs, including the world famous Improv in Los Angeles.  He has appeared on numerous television shows including “Star Search,” Showtime’s “Comedy Club Network,” and “An Evening at the Improv.” 

Most recently Dave was a contributing writer for the “Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” He is currently co-host of the highly rated Mark and Dave Show on 1190 KEX in Portland and host of the long running morning television talk show AM Northwest on KATU TV.

The audience plays a major role in Dave’s show. He has an amazing ability to turn ordinary conversations into hilarious comedy routines while remaining clean and inoffensive.  The Oregonian dubbed him “The quickest wit around.”  The San Francisco Examiner said he was, “relaxed, likeable, and funny . . . ”  Willamette Week said, “He ad-libs better than most comedians write.” 

Saturday, May 15, 2010, The Dalles, Table of Friends; a Fundraising Event for Families First. Good food, music, and fun people, all for the good cause of supporting Families First.

June 2010, Board Breakfast, a free event for supporters and friends.
