Bowl for Kids' Sake

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How many are on a team?
A. Five people.

Q. When would we bowl?
A. On Saturday, March 13th, 2010 in Hood River at 10:00 am, 11:30 am, 1:00 pm 2:30 pm, or 4:00 pm at Orchard Lanes.

Q. How do we raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters?
A. We will give you a pledge sheet to help keep track. You can ask friends, family, co-workers, clubs, and congregations--just about anybody--to help. We ask that each bowler bring in at least $50, and each person who raises $100 or more will get a free Bowl for Kids’ Sake T-Shirt!
Your team can support a match between a "Little" and a "Big" for 3 months=$313, 6 months=$625, or 12 months=$1,250.

Q. Do I collect the money?
A. You have three options:
1. Bowlers collect their donations and bring all the pledged money on the bowling day. **This method works best.**

2. Supporters pay online using their credit card or PayPal.
--Using this link, go to Network for Good
    --Enter your pledge amount
--Under Designation, type in “Bowl for Kids' Sake”
--Under Dedication, type in Bowler’s Name
    --Follow directions to finish.

3. Let Big Brothers Big Sisters send your supporters an invoice after the event.

Q. Where does the money go?
A. Bowl for Kids’ Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters largest fundraiser of the year, in fact it makes up about ¼ of our income. All funds raised stay in the Gorge and help identify kids (Littles), recruit and screen mentors (Bigs), match Littles and Bigs together, and then professionally support them for years to come.

Q. How do I get started?
A. If you are interested in forming a team, or just have questions, contact
