We are pleased to announce that Tami is the June Employee of the Month! Tami has been with New Parent Services for over 10 years, and has been involved with the ever-successful Cascade Locks Play Group for 20 years.
While we want to recognize both her long-term and most recent accomplishments of helping with the Strengthening Families workshop in April and May, there is much more to celebrate about Tami. Her constant flexibility and heart for the families she serves is immeasurable, as well as her skills at being the “Resource Queen” and energizer bunny.
She has assisted in the Hood River Valley High School teen group for the last 2 years, opened up the Hood River Play Group at Riverside Church forever, and is basically know by all our partners in Hood River and Cascade Locks as a reliable and invaluable team member.
If a family needs help, Tami knows what to do and how to get that help. She will continue to pursue a source of assistance for a family until that family has what is needed; housing, medical, respite, food, clothing, dental, legal assistance, drivers license, parenting class, play group, transportation, Head Start, and DHS services to name a few of the types of assistance she sees through to completion.
She is always a ray of sunshine and hope, and believes in the good in people, giving them encouragement and support that allows for change to happen as the individual is ready. Tami – you are marvelous and we are so lucky to have you in the NDI family!
~~Tami and I have worked together since before she came to work for NDI -- she is the gold standard and sets the bar high for anyone working with and supporting families. Kudos to Tami and kudos to NDI for bringing her on board and keeping her here!!!
