Kieran Connolly has been an exceptionally dedicated, hard working member of the Klahre House team since he started working with us over a year ago. He is very passionate about the Klahre House program and the well being of our students. Over the last two months he has gone above and beyond his normal duties as Language Arts teacher to design, coordinate and facilitate several experiential learning days for our student body, focusing on trust and communication.
In addition, he spearheaded the idea of organizing a Klahre House staff team building day with a highly experienced facilitator from Synergo, a Portland based team building program. This training helped us all to improve our communication and increase our ability to be empathetic toward each other on a daily basis.
On top of all of these things, over the last year Kieran has developed an outstanding Language Arts curriculum that is tailored to the unique learning needs of our students, as well as to the limitations and opportunities associated with our small class sizes and unique facility.
It is clear that his passion for teaching, learning and Language Arts has helped many of our students learn the value of reading and writing well, while at the same time building their ability and confidence to do so. Thanks Kieran!
