Why are you a leadership volunteer on the Next Door Board?
Because NDI provides valuable services to young people and their families with special emphasis on kids who need a little extra help. NDI's programs are an investment in the future of Hood River, Sherman and Wasco County. That is why I have been on the board for over 15 years.
Tell us about yourself:
After earning a Bachelor's degree in Business from the University of Colorado, I was the Eastern Advertising Director for Outside Magazine, a World Cup Freestyle Skier, Snow Cat Driver, and Snow Maker. Since 1995 life keeps me busy as the Founder, Owner, and CEO of Summit Projects in Hood River. I am happily married to Michelle, and enjoy being dad to four great kids; Otto 15, Mabel 13, Zach 5, and Gus 3. In our family, we try to keep a few concepts in mind; Always say please and thank you. Remind yourself how fortunate you are every day, no matter what. And always remember, "Goofy is good!!!"
A favorite quote:
"Daddy, Daddy, Daddy!!"
~
Zachary and Gus Sabina, every night when I come home.
How I do things I don't want to do:
Self-discipline.
